THE FOUR moons seemed to transfer the fundamental forces differently. Through them, the force of Chaos seemed to manifest as fire force, ice force, death force and life force. They influenced the world’s climate. As various religions formed around Chaos and Order, the moons were also worshipped - seen as portals of Chaos.

The religious rituals were mainly done by priests using the moon cycles and fallen moonstones. Each elemental moon would over time have their own priests and temples.

Elemental moons seemed to have their own ecosystem in them. Their surfaces formed patterns that were examined by scholars, and they were interpreted to symbols. It was believed that if those symbols were repeated, it would summon Chaos in the form that the moons had.

Occasionally meteors would hit the moons, and pieces of them would land on the world. If found, it was strictly forbidden to keep them. The law was that they had to be donated to priests who would keep them stored safely in temples. It was believed that Order was strong in sacred spaces, and only there the energy of Chaos could be kept safely.

Everyone didn’t obey the law. Sneaky mages who found the pieces were able to craft them into powerful artifacts. In skilled hands these artifacts could cause reactions that nobody had seen before.
